| Q: |
Can I book a routine appointment more than 48 hours ahead? |
| A: |
No problem. You can book as far ahead as you want to but we advise not more than 8 weeks in
advance. The reason for this is sometimes changes are needed in availability of clinicians and the more people
that are booked into a appointments on that day, the more people we need to phone to cancel & rearrange and
that takes time away from the receptionists & appointments clerks doing all the other things they do - click here
for more details and if you want to know what different people in the team do, then click here. |

| Q: |
Can I choose which doctor I want to see? |
| A: |
Yes, but for on-going problems we encourage you see the same person as they know your history and we value
continuity of care for more complex problems. We also each have areas of special interest
click here for more details. |

| Q: |
Can I see a nurse for some check-ups? |
| A: |
Most of the routine reviews are carried out by the nurses who are trained in many areas
click here for more details. |

| Q: |
Who do I see if the doctor has said I need a blood test? |
| A: |
The Health Care Assistant is the best person to see, or if
she is not available then see any of the nurses. |

| Q: |
Can I talk to a doctor or nurse on the phone without having to come in for an appointment? |
| A: |
Yes, see Telephone Consultations. |

| Q: |
Can I e-mail the surgery for advice? |
| A: |
Yes and no. There are a number of complex issues about confidentiality when e-mail is used for conveying medical
information, so until they are sorted out (it is a national issue) we can only accept requests for
Repeat Prescriptions. |

| Q: |
Can I get health advice on the phone or on the internet without needing to trouble the surgery? |
| A: |
We have specifically put in an extensive Useful Links section for this purpose. |

| Q: |
How do I get a repeat prescription? |
| A: |
See link in the question above - only please remember to state which items you need
if making the request by e mail, fax, in writing or via your pharmacist otherwise we'll end up having to ring you
to clarify things, which will cause delays. And
please remember that you may be due a review, and if so we need to let you know so an up to date phone number
would be useful click here. |

| Q: |
I want to recommend your surgery to a friend, how can he/she find it? |
| A: |
See map. |

| Q: |
Are you open on Saturday mornings and late in the evenings? |
| A: |
Just 4% of out patients (much lower % than the national average) who were surveyed by the government are
not happy with
our current opening hours. However, we realise that there are people who are
unable to access routine appointments during our opening hours and so we now
open most Saturdays from 9am to 12.45pm for routine
pre-booked appointments
only. There will only be one doctor
working, there are no nurses, and reception will not be available for
routine matters such as ordering/collecting prescriptions, booking further
appointments etc. The surgery cannot be used for any appointment that may
take longer than the booked 10 minutes, nor if a chaperone is needed, nor
can blood tests be carried out as the lab is closed. Urgent medical problems
should access the Out of Hours service in the normal way on 0845 056 8060. |

| Q: |
Why is your surgery called Faith House? |
| A: |
All 5 doctors, and some other members of the team, are committed Christians. For each of us it means our faith in
not "in a box for Sundays only" but permeates our whole life, and motivates us to do what Jesus Christ asked us to
do. Click here to explore what this means in practice. |

| Q: |
Does your faith make a difference to you as a doctor? |
| A: |
Click here for the answer that we hope you'll notice, but remember we are
also human & fallible. |
